Hand-picked Passionfruit

Phyto-Fabulous

Lots of potassium, Vitamin A and fibre makes Passionfruit a great all-rounder fruit that we could probably all do with eating a little more of. What’s more, Passionfruit contains large amounts of Phytochemicals see Jargon Buster for more info which are another great source of healing properties from the Power of Plants.

Slow down Casanova…
What’s not to love about Passionfruit? They’re tasty, colourful and pretty sexy. So you’ll forgive us for thinking that there might be something of an aphrodisiac about the Passionfruit. We’ll we don’t mind admitting when we’re wrong. Scooping out the innards and scoffing them down before a big date is not only going to leave you picking pips out of your teeth for half an hour but is also more likely to make you inexplicably yawning than play a dead-cool Romeo.

Yes, back in ancient folk times (just before you were born) Spanish explorers regarded the South American Passionfruit as something of a sedative. In fact the name itself has more to do with Catholicism than getting your rocks off as the Catholic missionaries in South America thought the leaves of the plant looked rather like a crown of thorns…
